Flower of Italy 1

W końcu udało mi się skompletować materiały i przystąpiłam do kolejnego Stitch of The Month z amerykańskiej strony needlepointa. W tym roku projekt nosi tytuł Flower of Italy i jest autorstwa Ro Peace. Wyszywam na zalecanej przez autorkę 18 monokanwie w kolorze antique, natomiast nici skomponowałam samodzielnie - kolorystykę możecie zobaczyć poniżej.

As I finally completed nearly all threads I started stitch another Stitch of the Month from American Needlepoint Gild website. This year pattern is design by Ro Peace and call Flower of Italy. I stitch on 18 counted antique colour monocanvas (as recomended by Ro), but I changed colours and type of threads - you can see them on the photo below.





W odróżnieniu od APOM-a, którego wyszywam na 22 monokanwie, w moim FOI jest nieco luźniej - nie jestem jeszcze pewna, czy ten efekt mi się podoba, ale postanowiłam zaryzykować i zostawić tak jak jest. Kolor monokanwy dość ładnie komponuje się z kolorystyką nici, więc myślę, że ostateczny rezultat może być ciekawy - zobaczymy w grudniu :) Na zdjęciach możecie zobaczyć etap styczniowy - kontury, lutowy - waffle stitch i marcowy - amadeus stitch.

I stitch my APOM project on 22 monokanvas, so now stitching FOI on 18 I can see that stitches are not so tight - I'm not really sure yet if I like this look but I decide leave it like this. Colour of backgroun looks good with colours of the threads and I've got this feeling that final result may be interesting - we'll see in december. On the photos you can see january - lines of diagram, february - waffle stitch and march - amadeus stitch.
